Wood-effect concrete tiles combine a timber-like grain with a cement-based body. Their colour is incorporated into the material. Unlike thermowood, they are not heat-treated timber. Façade fixing, moisture protection, movement joints and frost suitability must be confirmed for the selected product and project. A bonded installation is possible only where the approved substrate and fixing design permit it.

Applications and material comparison
Wood-effect concrete reproduces wood grain in a cement-based covering and is not natural thermowood. Compare weight, thickness, fixings, moisture exposure and maintenance before choosing between them. Floor and landscape applications need separate confirmation of slip resistance and drainage.

Wood-effect concrete reproduces a wood texture in a cement-based product. It is not natural timber. Compare it with thermowood using weight, supporting structure, installed cost, touch and maintenance requirements. Any cost advantage depends on both specifications and the project.
Price and lead time depend on model, size, colour, order quantity and delivery requirements. Compare total installed cost, including substrate preparation, installation, waste allowance and maintenance, rather than the material price alone.
